The Role
Uncle Kam is seeking a Chief Tax Officer to lead the intellectual and strategic heart of our platform. You will own the MERNA™ methodology, oversee all tax strategy content and professional standards, and serve as the public-facing authority on tax intelligence for our clients, media, and partners. This is a rare opportunity to shape how millions of Americans think about and interact with the tax code.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the MERNA™ Tax Strategy Method — the proprietary framework at the core of every Uncle Kam client engagement
- Lead a network of MERNA™-certified tax professionals, setting standards, conducting quality reviews, and driving continuous improvement
- Serve as Uncle Kam’s primary tax authority for media appearances, content creation, and thought leadership (TV, podcast, press)
- Oversee all tax strategy content published on the platform — blog, guides, calculators, and client-facing materials
- Partner with the product team to build AI-assisted tax planning tools that encode your expertise at scale
- Monitor IRS code changes, tax court rulings, and regulatory updates — and translate them into actionable client strategies
What We’re Looking For
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA license in excellent standing — required
- Master’s in Taxation, Tax Law (LLM), or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred
- 10+ years of tax advisory experience with demonstrated expertise in advanced planning strategies
- Experience as a public-facing tax authority — media appearances, speaking, or published content preferred

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build the core infrastructure of the Uncle Kam platform — the matching engine, client portal, tax professional dashboard, and AI-powered tax planning tools. You’ll work directly with the founding team on high-impact features that touch thousands of clients.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable backend services powering the Uncle Kam marketplace — matching, onboarding, billing, and client management
- Build and maintain the client-facing web application and tax professional portal
- Integrate LLM and AI tooling to encode the MERNA™ tax strategy method into automated workflows
- Own the full deployment pipeline — CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, and security
- Set engineering standards and mentor junior engineers as the team grows
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with production-grade systems
- Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript (frontend) and Node.js or Python (backend)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), databases, and API design
- Familiarity with AI/LLM integration (OpenAI API, RAG pipelines) is a strong plus

The Role
Uncle Kam is looking for a Product Manager who can sit at the intersection of tax expertise, user experience, and technical execution. You’ll own the product roadmap for our core marketplace — from client onboarding and matching to tax professional tools and AI-assisted planning workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product roadmap for Uncle Kam’s core marketplace — prioritize ruthlessly, ship consistently
- Conduct deep user research with taxpayers and tax professionals to uncover the highest-leverage opportunities
- Define and track product metrics — activation, retention, NPS, and revenue impact
- Work closely with engineering to write tight specs, run sprints, and ship features that delight users
- Drive the AI product strategy — identifying where LLMs and automation can dramatically improve client outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of product management experience at a high-growth startup or tech company
- Demonstrated ability to ship products end-to-end — from discovery to launch to iteration
- Strong analytical skills and experience in fintech or marketplace platforms
- Familiarity with AI/ML products and the ability to work with engineers on LLM-powered features

What You’ll Do
- Own the full growth funnel — awareness, acquisition, activation, retention, and referral
- Build and scale our SEO and content engine to dominate tax strategy search traffic nationally
- Manage and optimize paid acquisition across Google, Meta, and YouTube
- Develop strategic partnerships with CPAs, financial advisors, and real estate professionals
